Shams Tarin Group Of Companies Signs Major 600-Ton Meat Export Contract With Uzbekistan
A high-level delegation from Uzbekistan, led by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Livestock and accompanied by several major meat-buying traders, visited Afghanistan to strengthen agricultural trade relations between the two countries.
During the visit, the Uzbek delegation held extensive discussions with the Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock of Afghanistan, along with other relevant officials and national traders. The talks focused on cooperation and opportunities for purchasing Afghan meat products.
As a key outcome of the visit, on 11/9/1404, a historic agreement was signed for the export of 600 tons of sheep meat. The contract was concluded between the Shams Tarin Group’s Khatiz Zone Agricultural Production and Processing Complex and the Golden Beef Lamb Uzbekistani Company. Under the agreement, the Shams Tarin Group will supply the required meat through its Mazar-e-sharef Government Slaughterhouse.
The Uzbek delegation also participated in a one-day public awareness conference on 10/9/1404, organized by the Shams Tarin Group. The event, held at the company’s main conference hall, focused on raising public understanding about modern slaughterhouse operations and standards.
This agreement marks the first major meat export deal of its kind and represents an important step toward strengthening economic ties and agricultural trade between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.
